모기와 황소

A Gnat flew over the meadow with much buzzing for so small a creature and settled on the tip of one of the horns of a Bull.

모기 한 마리가 너무나 작은 생명체인 것에 비해 상당히 윙윙거리면서 목초지 위를 날아서 황소의 뿔 중 하나의 끝에 앉았다.

After he had rested a short time, he made ready to fly away.

잠시 쉰 후에, 그는 날아갈 준비를 했다.

But before he left he begged the Bull's pardon for having used his horn for a resting place.

A Gnat came and said to a Lion:

"I do not the least fear you,

nor are you stronger than I am.

For in what does your strength consist?

You can scratch with your claws, and bite with your teeth

I repeat that I am altogether more powerful than you;

The Gnat, having sounded his horn,

fastened itself upon the Lion,
